Questions
Preguntas
Where did Compare go in PowerPoint?
Microsoft retired Compare and Merge from Microsoft 365 PowerPoint for Windows starting with version 2502. It was never available in PowerPoint for Mac or on the web. This tool covers the most common need: finding what changed between two versions.
Are my presentations uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser. The files are read on your device and never sent anywhere. The page counts visits without cookies; it never sees your files.
What does it compare?
Slides added, removed or moved; all text on each slide, word by word; speaker notes; and the stored animation sequence: order, start (on click, with or after previous), duration, delay, repeat and effect settings.
What doesn’t it compare yet?
Formatting, pictures, chart data, SmartArt, embedded objects and changes to the slide master. Animation results come from the data saved in the file, not from playing the slideshow.
Does it work with .ppt files?
Not yet. Open the old file in PowerPoint, save it as .pptx and compare again. Password-protected files are not supported.
¿Qué no compara todavía?
